One of a kind West Virginia Winter Wonderland.  It is not that Tucker County has the best single winter activity like skiing or tubing, than any other resort.  What sets TC apart from the rest is the fact that within a 12 mile radius we have more various types of winter activities combined than anywhere in the mid-Atlantic.  Cabin Mountain in Canaan Valley is home to three ski resorts, each of which are located a mere 10 minutes by vehicle from one another.  The three full service ski resorts are Canaan Valley and Timberline Ski Resort’s, and Whitegrass Cross Country Ski Resort.  In addition to traditional skiing, Canaan Valley Resort offers ice skating on an outdoor, full size ice rink and four lane snow tubing hill.  Looking for that one of a kind experience?  Look no further than the lift-accessed sledding hill at Blackwater Falls State Park.  Their rustic warming hut also offers snowshoe and cross country ski rentals that take you anywhere in the park, including the famous Lindy Point overlook.  No matter the age, no matter the skill level, Tucker County truly has something for everyone come winter time.
