Timberline Resort
Independence Weekend Celebration, July 1-5
Mountain Bike Center and Scenic Lift Rides will be running daily. Timberline Stable will be offering trail rides. Timbers Pub will offer live entertainment Friday and Saturday evening, while the Fireside Grill will be open for lunch and dinner daily with dining available outside on the deck.
Celtic Music Weekend, July 8-10
Enjoy the increasingly popular Celtic Music Weekend presented by recognized artists from the area playing traditional Irish songs; both vocal and instrumental renditions of quintessential Celtic sounds will be presented on fiddle, mandolin, and Debro guitar. Featured Celtic artists will be Pete Tenney and Blaine Stevens appearing both Friday and Saturday evening.
Huckleberry Mid-Summer Weekend Mountain Trail Ride, July 15-17th
Expect to find huckleberry bushes in the higher elevations (4,000+ft) on these trail rides. Timberline Stables will be open daily offering guided rides. Bring your own horse if you would like! Friday and Saturday evening at Timber’s Pub live country western music will be provided and BBQ ribs special will be offered at the Fireside Grill.
Bluegrass with Fiddlin’ Mike, July 22-24
Over the weekend at Timberline, bluegrass heritage will be portrayed by renditions by Fiddlin’ Mike and his Fiddlin’ Around Band, local performers and Sonshine Rivers.
Cajun Weekend, July 30-Aug. 1st
In addition to the ongoing Friday and Saturday dining specials, Cajun food will be featured in the Fireside Grill and Timber’s Pub. And this year’s celebration will include appearances by Cajun song writer lady Sonshine Rivers.
Thomas Events
Mountaineer Days, July 1-3rd
The annual Mountaineer Days take place every 4th of July weekend in Thomas, WV. There will be craft and food vendors, the Fireman’s Waterbattle, live music, Saturday’s parade and even Elvis makes an appearance! Fireworks will be held Saturday evening at dark with a rain date of Sunday. They are sponsored by the Thomas Volunteer Fire Department.
