Looking for something special to get your mother, this Mother’s Day?  Try shopping locally, between Canaan Valley, Davis and Thomas there is something for every mother, even yours.  If you are more inclined to wine and dine your mother, then try some of the local Mother’s Day Specials.  Canaan Valley Resort is offering a Mother’s Day Buffet in the Hickory Room from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday, May 9^th.  They will be serving an extensive buffet and we suggest calling ahead for reservations.  White Grass Café will now be at the Purple Fiddle serving Sunday Brunch, named the ‘Purple Grass Brunch’.  True to Purple Fiddle’s character every brunch will be served with live complimentary music.  Purple Grass Brunch kicks off this Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 9^th.  Brunch will be served from 11am to 3pm and this Sunday’s complimentary music will be by JB Tenney from 1 to 3pm.  The menu consists of Southwest Breakfast Casserole with Sausage, Southwest Bean Salad, Mexican Rice Salad and Mexican Rollups.  Don’t forget to stop by Mountain Mist Florist in Thomas to get the perfect bouquet of flowers!
